Getting started with Fluorgan
Use this guide to move from a new account to a functional first cycle: created or imported material, prepared cards, a first review you understand, and clear places to continue.
Before you start
Have real material in mind: a lesson, topic, short list, existing deck, or file you actually intend to review later. Onboarding may ask for study context, goal, intensity, and subjects, but you do not need a complete plan to use the first review.
If there is no exam, deadline, or defined subject yet, keep only what is true. Fluorgan works better when missing context stays missing instead of becoming false urgency.
Choose the first material entry
Open the add-content area or create a deck. Use manual entry when you already know the question and answer, text when you want editable drafts, PDF when that option is available on your plan, and Anki when you have an `.apkg` collection to import.
The Create and import guide goes deeper into available inputs. Here, choose the simplest path to produce cards you can review, not the path that creates the most volume.
Prepare the first set of cards
Review front and back before saving or confirming a batch. Start with a manageable amount you can read, edit, and understand; do not create hundreds of cards just because the tool can.
A good first set makes clear what you are trying to remember and lets you judge the answer. If generated or imported material looks wrong, edit before activation.
Activate when the queue asks
Cards created in batches, imported, or prepared by AI may stay in the gradual new-card release before entering review. That is expected: imported or saved does not mean immediately reviewable.
When Health diagnosis, a critical block, or gradual release appears, handle what the screen asks and confirm the available activation. Warnings help improvement, but critical issues can block entry.
Do the first review
Open Review when released cards are available. Try to remember before revealing the answer, read the back, answer Recall Integrity honestly, and save to continue the session.
That saved record is what feeds memory, review schedule, Today, and progress. Fluorgan does not need you to get everything right; it needs the saved outcome to represent the real attempt.
After review, check Today
After the first review, Today becomes the main place for understanding the day's work. It separates what is open now, what opens later, optional opportunities, and what has already been confirmed.
If Today still has little information, that can be normal: the reading depends on released cards, saved events, capacity, and real next changes.
Read progress patiently
Early progress readings can show low evidence or missing sample. That is not failure or zero performance; it means there is not enough history yet for certain metrics.
Use progress to decide the next adjustment when data exists: repair weak cards, review again, control volume, or inspect forecast. Do not use the first session as a final grade.

Common problems and recovery
I created cards and they did not appear immediately: check whether they are waiting for a quality check or gradual release. If a generated card needs work, edit its question and answer before saving or confirming the import.
I do not know which entry to use: choose manual for a few clear cards, text for editable drafts, PDF when your plan allows it, and Anki for `.apkg`. There are not enough metrics yet or Today looks sparse: keep saving real reviews; missing or low evidence should appear as its own state.
