Consolidation
Consolidation answers when a deck has shown enough accumulated evidence to receive a verified historical milestone. It is not an instant score, it is not created in the frontend, and it does not promise permanent memory.
What consolidation means
Consolidation is a reading of accumulated evidence about deck stability, not just an accuracy percentage. Fluorgan records the historical milestone only after verification based on real review.
Current state vs history
Current state comes from the latest snapshot. Verified history comes from persisted `verified` events. A deck can therefore have consolidated before and need reinforcement today.
Independent evidence
The contract evaluates independent dimensions: enough coverage, compatible memory, qualified reviews, Recall Integrity, Card Health, structural stability, and recall flexibility when measurable.
Eligible is not verified
`eligible` means there is enough basis to advance in the process. `verification_due` means a verification action is appropriate. `verified` appears only after real review, persistence, and a new server-side evaluation.
Verified is a historical milestone
A `verified` event records that the deck satisfied the contract in that cycle. It stays in history even if current state changes later.
Reinforcement and reconsolidation
If current evidence no longer sustains the milestone, state can ask for `reinforcement_needed`. Reinforcement does not erase the prior milestone; a new verification can create another `verified` event and start a new cycle.
30/60/90 revalidation
After a `verified` event, 30, 60, and 90 day checkpoints re-evaluate current evidence. They do not create reviews, move `next_review_at`, fabricate probes, or alter FSRS.
Recall flexibility
Remembering one phrasing does not automatically prove flexibility across other phrasings. Recall Variants can provide additional evidence when sample is sufficient; without sample, `not_measured` is different from failure.
Maintenance is not a certificate
`maintenance` is an operational mode. It does not create `verified`, reset memory, guarantee stability, alter history, or change FSRS by itself.
What consolidation does not mean
Consolidation does not mean permanent memory, never reviewing again, absolute mastery, knowledge of the whole subject, perfect transfer, approval, future grades, absence of lapses, or equally strong cards.
